Professionalisation - the process of making the spa & wellness industry more professional. Priority for this Task Force is the creation of Voluntary Professional Guidelines; a self-regulating tool on the pathway to Accreditation.  

Traditional Therapies - a subgroup of the Professionalisation task force which is dedicated to identifying and documenting the traditional therapies of the Asia-Pacific region, so that their authenticity can be preserved, and integrity protected.

People - this Task Force aims to structure the industry, providing guidance to both employers and employees regarding skill sets and minimum working conditions. It also includes initiatives to help attract and retain good staff.

Products - this Task Force aims to demystify products & equipment, improving the quality of information to help operators make the best choice for their businesses, and provide accurate professional advice for their clients.

Profit - this Task Force aims to improve industry information for owners, operators and investors; establishing benchmarks & KPIs.

Planet - this Task Force seeks to raise awareness of sustainability issues related the spa & wellness community. It also provides tangible tools to measure the ecological impact of spa businesses, and a 'toolkit' of standards, guidelines and remedies to bring the spa industry into line with international best practi

Join a Task Force
Task Force participation is open to all – anyone with an interest and experience in the task force scope is encouraged to join; whether or not you work in the spa industry.  Simply click on the above link and complete the online form. We're all busy volunteers, and so we understand that time can be an issue. As a Task Force member, you can adjust your time and input according to your circumstances. Every input helps, no matter how small!ce.
