Executive Board

The Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer collectively form the Executive Board with the signatory powers for documentation and financial transactions of the APSWC. They assume legal liability and fiscal responsibility for APSWC activities, and have the right of veto for any APSWC vote, and are committed to transparency, equality, and actively contributing to the on-going professionalism & development of the industry.

Andrew has been involved in the Hospitality industry for almost 40 years. His broad background in cooking has seen his skills be exposed to various cuisines around the world, before bringing his culinary skills to Thailand in 1995 where he progressively moved into spa operations. Phattiraporn Khiewsanun


Managing Director, Milk Line Co., Ltd.

Phattiraporn has entered her experience in spa and wellness industry more than 10 years with initially passion of health and beauty from Thai traditional and natural ingredients and recipes. Working life has been in exporting spa products, spa consulting, spa educator and speaker. Besides, she volunteered to support and promote the industry by being a committee member and Vice President of Thai Spa Association (TSPA) for a number of years, where she currently continues in an advisory role. She sees a great opportunity to liaison with government sectors and connect with international spa and wellness organizations and associations for collective growth.

Angelyn Lim



The Board consists of seven directors – Membership; Knowledge Transfer; Events; Business Development – Services; Business Development – Products, Social Media & Web from across the region, and who are members in good standing of the APSWC. They are committed to actively contributing to the APSWC during their tenure and to the continued development of the industry.

Ayu Made Mudiasih


Founder & Managing Director, Cemara Ayu Sdn. Bhd.

Ayu’s more than 20 years’ industry experience began with Mandara Spa in Bali, under the tutelage of Jeff Matthews. For 11 years she was successfully involved in spa operations and management in spas across Indonesia & Malaysia, before she moved to Energy Day Spa, to better understand the Day Spa sector of the industry. In 2007 she launched her own spa equipment and consulting company, Cemara Ayu Sdn. Bhd,. She holds a certificate in Executive Development Program from Cornell University, USA where she majored in Spa Management. She is also involved with spa education through her work with IBD (UTM) and has held Board positions in both the Association of Malaysian Spas (AMSPA) and Malaysian Association of Wellness and SPA (MAWSPA).

Alyssa Lim


Director of Wellness & Spa, Naman Retreat

Alyssa is a certified aromatherapist and Master Trainer for the Malaysian Signature Massage, Urutan Malaysia. She was a charter member of the Association of Malaysian Spas (AMSPA) in 2007. To date, she has served AMSPA as a board member from 2007-2009 and from 2015 - 2021.
She truly believes in investing in training because being a Singapore Girl, she has the privileged to undergo the best training from one of the best airlines in the world, Singapore Airlines. That was her story behind the birth of Inner Peace, her 1st business venture in the spa and wellness in 2002.
Today, Alyssa is the co-founder of Inner Peace Spa Consultancy and Academy, one of the largest spa and wellness academy in Sabah producing local talents from Borneo.
Besides her business, Alyssa is actively involved in serving the community through the Lions Club International platform as the District Chairperson Leo, Sabah, and FT Labuan for 2 terms. By holding a very meaningful quote in her early days in community works “Making a Difference”, it inspires her to follow her dream with her company tagline “Together We Empower”.
Today, her company had provided job opportunities for over 350 youths into the spa and wellness industry because she believes in nurturing local talents.

Khem Dhami


Managing Director Tranquility Spa & Wellness, Malaysia.

Khem Bahadur Dhami is a Certified Hospitality Trainer by American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) and graduate, with honors degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. He has years of experience in academic institutions at Nepal together with Employment Fund & Helvetas Nepal, CTEVT and National Skill Testing Board NSTB. Mr. Dhami as a certified Skill assessor has conducted several vocational tests which were organized by National Skill Testing Board & Training Institute for Technical Instruction (TITI). Mr. Dhami is a Result-Driven professional with extensive experience in leading and managing people towards their career, duties and develop training programs. These placements have enabled him to develop not only specific hospitality industry experience, but also a valuable and transferable skill set in this fast-paced sector. He is stationed at Kuala Lumpur Malaysia since 2010. In the year 2013 Mr. Dhami established the Nepal’s largest chain of spa Tranquility spa to Malaysia in Putrajaya Marriott Hotel and Palm Garden hotel. The spa has been rated as 5 stars by the Ministry of Tourism Arts and Culture Malaysia. He is an Independent business owner and Currently the Managing Director of both outlets in Malaysia.

Chigwang (Tomomitsu) Ko


Managing Director, Sanyo International

With over 25 years’ experience of industry experience, primarily in the fields of marketing and development. A founding director of the Nippon Spa Association in 2003 and still a current board member. He began his career working for travel agents before establishing his own business in 1991 to focus on international properties seeking to access the Japanese Market. He has represented iconic properties across Asia Pacific including Banyan Tree, Chiva-som and Nusa Dua Beach Resort & Spa. A specialist in tourism marketing, he continues to promote spa & wellness education within Japan while simultaneously promoting the traditional bathing cultures of Japanese Onsen to the international market.

Samantha Foster


Managing Director, White

Strong marketing and branding background with 9 years in advertising and market research, followed by 18 years working across all types of spa in every aspect of the wellness industry. Sam is one of Asia's most experienced spa consultants.
Sam has personally created customized operations for many five-star hotels, incorporating all aspects of wellness: spa, fitness, holistic health, salon and medispa. Highly experienced at overseeing multiple operations in different geographical locations, including, but not limited to, product development and distribution, consulting, spa operations and media. She also spent 12 years as a business development consultant to Chiva-Som, planning all aspects of health resort development.
Sam was the Founding Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Spa & Wellness Coalition, holding the position from 2007 - 2009

Tamara Brnelic

Tamara entered the Wellness industry as a personal trainer & group exercise teacher in 2001 which took her abroad with her working travels onboard luxury liners like Disney & Carnival. Learning the integral involvement spa’s hold in wellness, she transitioned into the Spa world a few years later & has been remained there for the past 10 years. Favoring management, Tamara thrives on developing her employees into the positions they are passionate & talented in. Her professionalism has taken her abroad once again where she has managed several luxury award winning spas’ in the Maldives.
Tamara was nominated & a selected finalist for the Black Diamond award in 2019.
With a keen interest in the sustainability of products & services provided in spa, Tamara is currently developing her knowledge in this area to enhance her knowledge on the subject.
She hopes to bring this knowledge into APSWC for our future product affiliations.
Holding a Diploma’s in Exercise Science & a Certificate in Business Spa Management, Tamara also recently qualified as a yoga instructor & looks forward to where that may take her in the future.

Faheem Ebrahim


Faheem has dedicated himself to enhancing performance and productivity of people in the work- place. Through extensive experience in luxury hospitality businesses in over 13 countries, Faheem has developed expertise in developing and leading diverse teams through a passion and progress driven approach to achieving measurable success.
Faheem is the Founder of Xin Performance Limited, a company dedicated to driving performance within the people in organisations, using technology as its vehicle. His earlier career comprises of leadership roles in companies such as Hyatt Hotels, Minor Hotel Group, Melco Resorts Entertainment having worked in hardship locations such as secondary cities in China, through to paradise islands in the Maldives.
Faheem is a family man with three young children based in Bangkok, Thailand.
