Asia-Pacific Spa & Wellness Community Celebrates Innovation and Excellence at 2025 APSWC Awards
The Asia Pacific region, long celebrated for its rich and diverse spa and wellness heritage, continues to lead the way in embracing wellness as an essential component of a healthy lifestyle. Despite global challenges, the region’s spa and wellness industry remains resilient, dynamic, and ever evolving.
This spirit of innovation and excellence was on full display at the 2025 APSWC Awards, where top operators, products, and industry leaders were honoured for their outstanding contributions to the spa and wellness industry. The prestigious awards are adjudicated by a distinguished panel of 24 experts spanning spa, fitness, wellness, tourism, and business sectors, representing 18 countries across the region — from Japan to New Zealand and India to Fiji.
To ensure both credibility and inclusivity, the Operator and Product categories incorporate a public voting element, which is weighted equally (50%) with the panel’s assessment. This year, nearly 10,000 public votes were cast, reflecting strong engagement and resulting in intense competition across several categories.
Winners were presented with a custom-designed trophy, handcrafted exclusively for the APSWC Awards in Singapore. Each trophy is sustainably produced from recycled chopsticks, underscoring the APSWC’s ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility.
First launched in 2023, the APSWC Awards have rapidly evolved, with categories expanding to reflect the fast-changing landscape of the wellness industry. In 2025, a total of 30 awards were presented across 30 categories, recognising excellence from nine countries: Belgium, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Thailand emerged as the top-performing nation, taking home seven trophies, while Martha Tilaar Spa of Indonesia was recognised with four awards, including the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Dr. Martha Tilaar for her enduring impact on the industry.
The APSWC Awards continue to shine a spotlight on both individuals and companies for driving innovation and setting new standards in spa and wellness across the Asia-Pacific region.

About the APSWC:
The Asia Pacific Spa & Wellness Coalition was officially registered as a not-for-profit trade association in Singapore in July 2007, with a mission to act as a bridging mechanism between countries to promote, protect, educate, and develop the spa & wellness industry in the Asia-Pacific region.
Since its launch, the Asia-Pacific Spa & Wellness Coalition (APSWC) has grown in both size and reputation. It is a regional body which links the national spa associations and key industry players from the Asia-Pacific nations and seeks to address the challenges presented by the evolution and growth of the Asian Pacific spa industry through education, protection, promotion and development of the industry in the region. As of March 2025, the APSWC Board of dedicated industry professionals live in India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore & Thailand, and work on a 100% voluntary basis to represent over 1,300 spa and wellness operators and related businesses across Asia Pacific and beyond.
The APSWC also holds an annual Round Table event, bringing together key industry players from across the region to discuss problems and solutions which is then presented to the industry, regional governments, media, and relevant third parties via a White Paper to help give guidance to both the industry and those responsible for its governance. The 2025 APSWC Industry White Paper supported by Lovinfit Group, Italy, will be released in mid-May 2025 on the APSWC website www.apswc.org
